THE ACQUISITION OF
WEST WILLOW SHOPPING CENTER
(October 31, 2023) FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS — The Mishra Group (the “Firm”) is thrilled to share our recent acquisition of West Willow Shopping Center, a 100,120 square foot retail shopping center strategically positioned in a dominant retail corridor of Lafayette, LA.
Anchored by grocery giant Super1 Foods and popular discount retailer dd’s Discounts, West Willow serves as a convenient one-stop shopping center for locals. Super1 Foods is owned by Brookshire Brothers, the owner and operator of over 200 grocery stores across several operating brands. dd’s Discounts is owned by Ross Dress for Less, the nation’s leading discount retailer offering brand-name merchandise.

The Mishra Group plans to utilize its vertically integrated platform to drive value at West Willow Shopping Center. Efforts will include lease-up of existing vacancies with complementary tenants, property upgrades, and enhanced marketing and events to drive foot traffic.

The Firm acquired the center from a privately held Texas firm that operates over 120 centers representing 12 million square feet of real estate. Immediately prior, Brixmor Property Group (NYSE: BRIX) owned the center.
